TEN YEARS OF CHAKIÑAN (2016–2026): PUBLICATION TRENDS AND SCIENTIFIC IMPACT FROM A BIBLIOMETRIC PERSPECTIVE
Main Article Content
Abstract
A bibliometric analysis was conducted on the performance of articles published in Chakiñan from its inception in December 2016 through March 2026. The evolution of the journal’s scientific output and its impact were examined using citation metrics. The analysis was based on the compilation and systematization of bibliographic records from Scopus and WoS, specialized bibliographic databases used for the indexing, retrieval, and analysis of international scientific literature that serve as global benchmarks in the indexing and evaluation of scientific output. Additionally, data provided by Google Scholar and information from the journal’s editorial management were analyzed. In conclusion, it is considered that the journal has made progress in consolidating an editorial model based on open access principles, which facilitates the democratization of scientific knowledge and promotes the free circulation of scientific output, thanks to the joint efforts of editors, reviewers, authors, and technical teams, who have contributed to establishing quality standards aligned with good editorial practices, in a context marked by profound transformations in production and evaluation systems, where the dissemination of knowledge plays a fundamental role in the critical understanding of social realities.
