CHAKIÑAN signs the Open Letter ORCID - Editors to assume best practices in the use of iD
Posted on 2020-08-26CHAKIÑAN signature in order 108, the Open Letter ORCID - Editors, whose raison d'être is the development of best practices for the use of iD in the publication and maintenance of the list of signatories. The publishers who sign this open letter agree to require that ORCID IDs follow specific implementation standards.
ORCID provides a digital name, or iD, that uniquely and persistently identifies researchers and other contributors to the research effort. By connecting this identification to different research activities and affiliations across multiple research information platforms, ORCID helps enable recognition and reduce reporting burden for researchers.
We invite the research community, funders, and research institutions to join this initiative to embrace ORCID and make it easier for researchers to connect their iD to their contributions and affiliations.
