El título, resumen y palabras claves, son
fuentes de información para la recuperación
de artículos en las bases de datos.
• INTRODUCCIÓN (“lo que mal empieza,
mal acaba”, Eurípides).
En esta parte se debe dar respuesta a dos
preguntas básicas, la primera: ¿por qué se ha
hecho este trabajo, estudio o investigación?
y ¿cuál es el problema que se debe resolver?,
por lo que es necesario explicar los antece-
dentes y el estado actual que constituye una
situación problémica, con breves anotacio-
nes sobre el estado del arte, donde el autor
debe declarar si asume una teoría que le sirve
de fundamento, así como el autor o autores
que la sustentan o si construye una perspec-
tiva teórica, la novedad o aporte cientíco, el
objetivo del estudio que dio origen al artícu-
lo, su importancia.
La introducción será breve, con una exten-
sión máxima del 10% del total del artículo,
en la misma deben mencionarse las referen-
cias estrictamente pertinentes, no debe in-
cluir datos, ni conclusiones.
• METODOLOGÍA (“la preparación de un
artículo cientíco tiene menos que ver con
el talento literario que con la organización”,
Robert A. Day).
Este apartado responde a la pregunta ¿Cómo
se estudió el problema? Para la revista Cha-
kiñan, en esta parte se considera importante
que el autor declare el tipo de artículo de que
se trata (de investigación, de revisión biblio-
gráca, de reexión y de discusión).
Si se trata de un artículo de investigación,
el autor debe especicar el tipo de investi-
gación que sirvió de base al artículo, a qué
paradigma responde, el tipo de diseño utili-
zado, (haciendo referencia, en todos los ca-
sos, a la fuente que se utiliza para la clasi-
cación), dónde se efectuó la investigación,
tamaño de la población y muestra, tipo y téc-
nica de muestreo empleado e instrumentos
para la recolección, análisis y procesamiento
de datos.
Además, para cualquier tipo de artículo, se
debe exponer cómo se efectuó el estudio,
qué orden, lógica o proceder se siguió, qué

La extensión de esta parte es de aproxima-
damente el 70% del total del artículo. En la
revista Chakiñan, Resultados y Discusión
forman un apartado único que contiene la
esencia del artículo, el resultado cientíco
principal que se expresó como aspiración en
el objetivo; responde a las preguntas: ¿qué
se encontró? y ¿qué signican dichos hallaz-
gos?
Pueden ser datos, interpretaciones, comen-
tarios, que en cualquier caso tienen que ser
muy claros y concisos y pueden presentarse
en forma de listas, tablas, grácos e imáge-
nes, cuyos datos deben ser explicados en el
texto. Cuando el trabajo de investigación
consista en comparar resultados propios
con los obtenidos por otros autores, debe
indicarse claramente el origen de los datos
comparados. Cuando se incluye análisis es-
tadístico, los resultados deben establecer
claramente entre que variables existe la dife-
rencia estadística.
Además, se describe el signicado de los re-
sultados obtenidos, en el contexto de lo que
se conoce sobre el tema investigado. Debe
discutirse si la hipótesis propuesta, en caso
de haberse formulado, se verica o recha-
za. Se debe enfatizar los hallazgos nuevos
y posiblemente importantes del estudio. Las
limitaciones de los métodos experimentales
deben ser discutidas, así como las posibles
implicaciones para las futuras investigacio-
nes. Cuando sea apropiado, se debe incluir la
relevancia clínica de los resultados. En esta
